DURATION – 5 DAYS (MANALI TO MANALI) – BEST SUMMER TREK HIMACHAL
Hampta pass is situated on the Pir Panjal range at an elevation of 4270 m (14040 ft) from sea level. It is one of the most thrilling treks of Himachal Pradesh situated in the Kullu region. This trek offers a rapid variation in its route of trailing on BEST WINTER TREK HIMACHAL. There are some hard rock grey trails, some trails are through the dense forest then you have to cross a river and there are meadow and snow-covered areas too if you plan it in winter. Jobra is the Base camp of this trek and you have to start from the famous Himachal city Manali. You can find several transport options from Delhi to reach Manali.
Day 1 – Manali to Jobra to Jwara – BEST WINTER TREK HIMACHAL.
You have to reach Manali from Delhi or Chandigarh. From Manali, you have to reserve a car towards Jobra which is the base camp of the trek. After reaching Jobra you have to trek for 5 hours 30 minutes to 6 hours to reach the campsite at Jwara. The trail is through the pine forest which will lead to a meadow.
Day 2 – Jwara to Balu Ka Ghera – BEST SUMMER TREK HIMACHAL
On the second day, you have to trek 4.5 km to reach the altitude of 12,400 ft. Rani river will accompany you throughout the trek. Then you will get a waterfall, may refill your bottles from here. Now the river will be on the left side and you have to cross the river very cautiously. After a few hours of ascent walk, you will reach the campsite Balu Ka Ghera. You will not find any connection with sand as the name describes.
Day 3 – Balu Ka Ghera to Hampta Pass to Sheagoru – BEST WINTER TREK HIMACHAL
It’s the most hectic and hard day of the whole trek as you have to gain an altitude of 1700 ft. Hampta pass is situated at the altitude of 12,900 ft from the sea level. The way to the Hampta pass from Balu Ka Ghera is a steep ascent path. After an hour of the steep climb, you can see the Deo Tibba peak in front of you. After a climb of half an hour from here, you will reach the second reach. Hampta pass is just a few steps ahead from here. From the pass, you have to trek towards Sheagoru.
Day 4 – Sheagoru to Chandratal via Chhatru – BEST SUMMER TREK HIMACHAL
After a trek of 3 hour you will reach the beautiful village named Chhatru. Chandratal lake is a famous high altitude lake of spiti valley at the height of 14,000 ft. try to be hydrated to avoid mountain sickness. You have to come back to Chhatru to spend the night.
Day 5 – Chhatru to Manali – BEST WINTER TREK HIMACHAL
It’s the most heart breaking day as the last day of your trek. Say good bye to the Spiti valley and arrange a car towards Manali. You will cross the famous Rohtang pass which will offer you some spectacular views.
